828 – Iron, Wood, Stone and Bricks No.2
In Savannah, Georgia after lunch I took a photo of the interesting angles looking down from the walkway. As a historical anecdote, a series of iron and concrete walkways, known as Factors Walk, connected the buildings to the river bluffs in Savannah. Ramps leading from the Street down to the bluff and to River Street were paved with cobblestones, brought as ballast and abandoned on the riverbanks by departing sailing ships.
