500 – Off Spring

Sitting on a bench overlooking the Potomac River, I was intrigued by vegetation growing from a rock. Reminded me of a Mother and Daughter.

501 – A Potomac River Rainbow

I live directly across from the C&O Canal (150 feet) at MM 85.2. About 5 minutes from Big Slack Water Boat Ramp. Throughout the day and the seasons there are multitudes of different colors and shades reflected against the natural landscape. As the rain stopped a rainbow formed over the Potomac River and the C&O canal. A second rainbow began to form just above.

This is Dam #4 on the Potomac River separating West Virginia from Maryland.

On New Years Day 1972, I attended the Diamond Head Crater Sunshine Music Festival in Hawaii. The nostalgia in my mind suggest magical times with magical people.

Visiting DC in 1980, I came upon soldiers marching. I added my artistic narrative utilizing a luminization effect to convert the color image to black and white.

While performing and touring with the USO in Kodiak Alaska, I took a ride into the woods to see the natural beauty and this photo represents. I thought this shot brought out the earthy beauty of the foliage.
